Step 2: After that, you must press + and hold down the WPS button on your Belkin N300 range extender, for about 5-7 seconds.

Step 3: Release the button as soon as you notice that the LED for power is blinking on your device.

Step 4: Within the two-minute time limit, press + hold the WPS button of the wireless router to activate the WPS for your range extender.

Step 5: Wait patiently for a few moments and let the devices connect. 

 

The Internet Browser Method For Belkin N300 Wifi Extender Setup -

Follow the steps below for the Belkin N300 setup with the help of the internet browser, in case any of your router or extender does not support the WPS button. You must follow the steps in a meticulous manner, to avoid any mistakes;

Step 1: The primary step to take is to plug the Belkin N300 range extender into the outlet for electricity. It is essential that you connect the Belkin range extender in close proximity to your router.

Step 2: Then visit the WiFi section on your device through which you would like to connect to the extender device.

Step 3: Thereafter, you must connect to the wireless networks available near you. Then, click on the Belkin configuration.

NOTE: There may be a possibility that the default name for the extender is not displayed in the available wireless networks list. If that is the scenario, you will need to restore your extended device by pressing the reset buttons on the Belkin extender. For reset, you have to hold it for 10 seconds and wait until the blue LED lights to flash across it. Then, you'll be able to see the default name on the list of networks.

Step 4: Next step is to open the new web browser that you have installed on your computer. 

Step 5: Enter the Belkin range extender within the address bar of the browser to access the Belkin N300 range extender’s admin settings. If the address on the web is not working for you then you can try using an IP address 192.168.206.1 for the configuration of the extender.

Step 6: You will see a new website appear on your screen. There you need to click the button to start. Following that it will begin looking to find the router's SSID.

Step 7: Once the web page ceases to load, then restart the webpage. Then, select the wireless network you would like to extend with Belkin's Belkin extender. Select the Next tab.

Step 8: Wait for a while before the connection is connected successfully.

Step 9: Enter your password to your preferred wireless network. Now, press Next.

Step 10: Your chosen password will be verified.

Step 11: After that, you will see a message displayed on the screen that says Belkin wireless setup is complete and you will be able to extend the wireless network's coverage area.
