Steps for MSRM WiFi Extender Setup Using Browser
Follow the below steps for MSRM WiFi Extender Setup by using the browser:
Step 1: Firstly, ensure that your device has an active internet connection.
Step 2: After that, plug the MSRM extender into the electrical outlet with the wireless router and turn it on.
Step 3: Thereafter, tap on the WiFi and use your laptop, phone, or other mobile devices to scan and to connect to the WiFi network saying “MSRM setup” Initially it does not have any protection and password.
Step 4: Launch any internet browser on the same device that you are using and search for the 192.168.10.1 IP address. You will be redirected to the page where the system prompts you to enter the administrative username and password. Enter “admin” in the username and password.
Step 5: Tap on the “repeater mode” button. Select the WiFi network which you want to extend to the existing WiFi router from the wireless network list.
Step 6: Now, you will get two options whether you want to use the current router ID configuration or to set a new username and password. Select the appropriate one.
Step 7: On the next page, you are required to customize the MSRM extender network. Enter the SSID and password if required. You have to do this step twice for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.
Step 8: For checking the settings, you will be redirected to the page until you tap on the Next button. Now, you have to wait for some time until the initialization is completed for the extender to start up.
Step 9: Now, connect your computer to the extender network.
Instructions for MSRM WiFi Extender Setup through WPS
Go through the below-mentioned instructions for the MSRM WiFi Extender Setup through the WPS button:
Step 1: Ensure that both the primary WiFi router and MSRM extender are getting an adequate power supply. Be sure that they are placed nearer to each other.
Step 2: Tap on the WPS button located on the backside of the WiFi router. Within 2 minutes, tap on the WPS button on the MSRM range extender.
Step 3: Now, you will see that the MSRM extender connects to the WiFi network automatically of your main router.
Step 4: Ensure that your extender is wired and connected to the power source by tapping on the On button.
Step 5: Switch on WiFi and use your laptop or phone to scan and connect to the WiFi network. Initially, it will have no password.
Step 6: Open the web browser and enter the 192.168.1.1 IP address. You will be redirected to a new page where you have to enter your username and password. Enter “admin” in the username and password.
Step 7: Click on the Administrative System Upgrade located on the home tab. Hit on the “Upgrade firmware” under the Automated Upgrades page. Ensure that you have a secure internet connection to upgrade the firmware. Your extender would take 2 minutes to set up.
